You may be surprised to learn that our happiest, most loyal guest is all of 5 years old. Wesley is not typical of our demographic, but he has stayed at the hotel dozens of times and loves La Fonda like home. He’s so good at motivating the team, he’s sure to end up as general manager some day.

RECIPE FOR ADVENTURE

Recently Chef Lane has been featuring mid-week dinner specials in La Plazuela. Being an avid hunter, he has a fondness for venison which makes a fantastic fall dish. The great thing about venison is that it has very little fat and is actually quite good for you. Chef Lane serves a creamy, wild mushroom risotto with this dish and spaghetti squash.

A favorite at La Fiesta Lounge for more than a decade, Night Train plays high-energy roadhouse blues—which is always in style in these parts, says bandleader Steve Piersol. They even used to raise the roof as La Fonda’s New Year’s Eve party band.
